Physical Education :

A Dynamic Physical Education Program

Young children characteristically develop gross motor skills more rapidly than small motor development.  Our students have the opportunity to self-develop their physical abilities through fundamental movement exercises.  We concentrate on skipping, leaping, galloping, and sliding skills.  Teachers introduce ball techniques to the children such as throwing, catching, rolling, bouncing, and kicking.

Most young students are naturally self-centered and play poorly in large groups during long periods of time.  Therefore, we introduce team sports through kick ball and soccer with a small group of children at a time.  Teachers play many games that require listening skills and they guide children in handling their social emotional skills.  Throughout playground time children can be found playing dodge ball, red light/green light and Simon says along with other games.
